ECHO has made some Rule Changes for the Adult Divisions for 2025.
Stop time in the last minute of the first period.
Rosters will be Required to be handed in to ECHO before the start of the second game.
When the Club Division is separated into 2 Tiers: Tier 1(Upper) and Tier 2(lower), the Club Tier 2 Teams cannot have any players from any division above them. Tier 1 can have one player from a Bronze Roster.
Goalies however, can play in 2 divisions without it counting as one of the players from an above division. Goalies are hard to find at times of the year. It has to be from one division away. For example, a goalie on a Club roster can play for a Copper team. A goalie on a Bronze roster cannot play on a Copper Team. This is in effect through the tournament season until Finals. No goalies can play for two teams during Finals in 2026.
Players must play in atleast 2 Round Robin Games in order to play in the playoffs. The only exception is the injury rule. The only time a player can play in one RR game is if the injury brings the number of players to less than 6 skaters. The injured player cannot come back and play in playoffs, unless he/she has played in 2 RR games. If that is the case, then the replacement player cannot play in the playoffs.
Club Tier 1 can have only 1 player from a roster above them when the Club Division is separated in Tiers from the Start.
Bronze teams can have up to 2 players that are on a roster above them. If a team has 1-2 players that get invited to play on a roster above them, that counts as their 1-2 players. Senior A/B is an open division. There is a list of Legitimate Gold players that cannot play in Bronze. Captains can ask ECHO Administrators if they are unsure who is a Legitimate Gold player or a player playing in Gold.
These Rule Changes will be used in ECHO Hockey's Main Market. Exceptions can be made to divisions except for the Copper Division (Club Tier 2).
Staring October 1, 2025, a player will be ejected from the game when he/she gets 3 penalties. They are ejected just for that game, unless the 3rd penalty is a game misconduct.
